Hazardous waste
Definition: Today, “hazardous waste” is the legal term in the European Union for waste materials that are dangerous and pose a potential threat to human health and/or the environment. We also speak of toxic waste and special waste.
Examples: Asbestos, lead batteries, antifreeze, resin residues, cold cleaners, paints and lacquers, solvents, aerosol cans and oil products.
